Apple muffins

The smell of Christmas is a clear guarantee of a change in behavior in vast majority of population. One of the typical changes influences our taste preferences, having the tendency to be defeated by dogmas of our times with a touch of gluttony. Thus the state when we are driven by desires of the stomach resulting in after-Christmas crazy actions to loose weight as the way how to save every year traditionally repeating situation.

Luckily, we know that there are situations at Christmas revels and feasting we can kill two birds with one stone. This "killing" takes the preparation and later delightful tasting healthy sweets in which we don´t have to worry about any dramatic consequences.

One of such recipes are today´s muffins. With no hesitation and wasting time, let´s start working that won´t take too much time and we´ll be rewarded by a surprise at a couple of levels.

Preparation

First we clean apples and cut them in small cubes. Then we take a bowl, pour millet flour, glutten-free oat-flakes and psyllium. Then we pour almond milk, one egg from "happy hens“, chopped walnuts and sweet rasins. We sweeten the content of the bowl with honey, "scent" with a tea spoonful of cinamon and then we stir all ingredients properly.

Once we get compact (a little runny) dough, we add phospate-free baking powder, gradet apples and stir it properly once again. Now we can fill the paper forms for muffins and put them into an oven that is pre-heated to 180°C and bake it for about 25 minutes.

Later we take out tasty apple muffins the taste of which is honey-sweet, the structure is perfectly pliable and their scent is cinamon-bewitching.

Vlastnosti receptu

  1. Typically high saccharide muffins have sufficient fibre, complex sacharides and thus despite its sweet taste quite low figure of the glycemic index.

  2. The content of proteins in one piece ins´t tradic at all. If I think of having 2 - 3 muffins in my afternoon break, I´ll get a sufficient portion of proteins with the quality that is highly above average.

  3. Fats are present in weight in smaller amount than proteins, the ratio of nutrients is ideal in this respect.

  4. The amount of energy is questionable. It means that one piece won´t make you thrilled and surprised, three pieces as a part of a snack will provide sufficient but not excessive intake of energy.

  5. The muffins dissolve on the tongue, their digestibility is great.

  6. Thermaly, the dessert acts in a slightly warming way.

  7. Acid base balance tendency is slightly acidifying.

  8. Like in all other sweet oriented candies, the rules should pay even in these muffins. Let´s have these sweets as a snack at the best in order not to combine salty and sweet dishes.
